Wonderful Beginnings ECD

In 2023, we took on the responsibility of supporting another Early Childhood Development (ECD) centre in the Huntington Village, located near the Lion Sands Game Reserve in Bushbuckridge. This decision was made after community leaders brought the centre’s need for assistance to our attention. It was discovered that the school, named Wonderful Beginnings, has only one volunteer teacher who educates and cares for 12 learners (including four in grade 1, and eight in grade R (reception year before grade 1).

Wonderful Beginnings officially opened its doors on January 20th, 2023, and serves learners from both the Huntington and Justicia villages. It currently has two classrooms available for teaching purposes.
