Meet the More Community Foundation Family

Meet the More Community Foundation Family

Teamwork is essential for success in any business, and this is especially true for More Community Foundation (MCF). Our small, dedicated team shares a common passion for improving people’s lives and investing in our natural resources. We work tirelessly to bridge the gap between sponsors and the projects, programs, and local communities where the More Family Collection Lodges and Hotels operate. We need to be trusted on the ground, and this does not happen overnight. It has taken us many years to develop strong relationships with community members, families, and community leadership. It is imperative that we stay connected to the social and political climate of the region in which we operate, promoting community development and conservation.

Each member of our family brings a unique skill set to the table, embodying the essence of ‘uBuntu’ in our work. We introduce you to our team.

Vanessa Masetloa

Vanessa is our Fundraising & Development Coordinator, based in Johannesburg. She grew up in the Bushbuckridge Municipality and holds Hospitality and Generic Management Certificates. After an internship at SANParks as a receptionist, Vanessa’s passion for the hospitality industry led her to join the MORE Family Collection group in 2015 as a receptionist. She quickly rose through the ranks to become a Retail Manager at Lion Sands and then Camp Manager at Marataba Luxury Lodges. In 2022, Vanessa brought her passion for philanthropy to our team, joining as a Programs & Operations Administrator. Fondly known as ‘Vee’, she brings a very special effervescent energy to our team.

Meet Stephanie, our dedicated Sustainability Manager, whose deep-rooted love for nature was nurtured on a small farm in the North West province during her formative years. Steph’s academic pursuit of a BA in Literature and Communications paralleled her growing passion for environmental conservation, which uniquely led her to become a qualified beekeeper. She amassed valuable experience in the 5* hospitality industry, including Steenberg Wine Farm, More Family Collection’s Marataba Luxury Safari Lodge, and Garonga Safari Camp. Her true calling led her to MCF when she assumed the role of Sustainability Manager. Eager to make a meaningful impact, Stephanie passionately advocates for sustainable solutions, particularly when it comes to managing the sustainability initiatives of More Family Collection’s Lodges & Hotels.
